All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Last night was on of the most beautiful showings of God in my life since Michael Paul entered the world. Starting on Friday night ten CCF students, Pastor Richard and his wife Darlene, and Crockett and I all began working toward a banquet for saturday evening. The “going global missions banquet” was truly an amazing evening of celebrating what God had done in the past and the energy and excitement is building for the trip this May.
Banquets are always a fun time full of laughs, great talks, interesting presentations and good food but what made this evening so special was nothing in the schedule really. From friday night setup to Saturday night tear down there was a constant spirit of unity in every step of the way. CCF has always been about Christ and Christ alone… not a denomination. The banquet once again rang that bell for Christ and Christ alone being lifted highest of all. Last night was truly a pleasure to serve with people from every kind of Chritian background.
Beyond of team of 14 working together from different backgrounds towards the same purpose of Christ’s name being lifted high in Russia was the people in attendance. Just like the mission team is a total blend so were the attendees. There were tables with all kinds of Christians and even some non christians. Not all 80 people in attendance can go to Russia to spread the gospel but what an encouragement to see how the support of 80 plus people from every kind of denomination work together for the kingdom of God to be proclaimed in Russia. Last night was but a glimpse of how the body of Christ should operate globally.
