This semester CCF celebrated 19 baptisms. This is incredible for a ministry of our size and honestly something I have never seen before here at CCF. We are still in awe of what God has done in the life of so many CCFers this semester! Thank you for your prayers and support this semester as we saw so many students baptized. CCF Big Rocks {VIDEO}

3 Ways to make Finals week Epic

Finals week is officially here and CCF is about to be part of a huge blessing to campus. As many of you (unless you are living under a rock or not a student) know we are the official overflow spot of Strozier library. This is an incredible opportunity we have been given to help serve our campus. There are a few ways to make this week the biggest finish ever to a fall semester. So here they are:

PRAY! Seriously do pray! Pray for the weather that the nights are not too cold & for rain to hold off. Pray for opportunities for students to hear about CCF. Pray for the internet to hold up and all the other logistics that come along with such a big week. Pray the university would see all of this as a huge blessing
Promote! This is huge!! The university has been so helpful by promoting everything in the library but we still need YOUR HELP! Your personal invites to friends means more than any flyer or advertisement. Help us out by changing your facebook profile picture to the finals week logo, by inviting ALL your FSU friends to the facebook event for the week, by tweeting about the week and by updating your status, by texting your friends to come and by you coming with your friends!!
Participate (had to stick the letter “p” theme): Every night from 6-9 there are delicious food trucks in the back parking lot. Come and enjoy their tasty food and brings some friends while you are at it. You are more than welcome to come and study at the house too we really encourage you though to use the opportunity to invite friends to study .

CCF returns to MOORE!

In the spirit of my personality a silly and serious list of things I am thankful for (in no particular order):

That the FSU football season is almost over
Katie. The most incredible wife ever. She is such a woman of faith with a massive heart for the Lord and others. She is my greatest encourager and source of support.
Pecan pie
My crazy borderline redneck family. They bring so many laughs and so much love
Claire & Michael Paul: I’m not sure what we did before them. They are such a huge part of my life and bring me so much joy every day.
My bed
Nathan Uy: The best friend a guy could ever have (plus he’s asian!). Not only my best friend but the best right hand man a leader could ask for. He is the secret to all great things happening at CCF
Heaven
My house
Jake: the coolest craziest golden EVER
CCF: I’m so blessed by this ministry God has allowed me to be a part of. I am constantly amazed at the students God brings CCF and how God continues to move through CCF.
Angel, T, Stephen, & Tim: “The Interns” are absolutely incredible. They work their tales off for barely any pay and no fame. Their hearts are all about Kingdom work and God’s fame growing on campus
Bagel bagel, crepe vine, atlanta bread: My sermon prep spots. They are so good to me to let me stay there for 6+ hours every wednesday and drink gallons of diet coke

I’m sure the list could go on and on but its time to enjoy some more food, and some rest on my most favorite holiday of the year

A powerful way to say “Thanks” today

Happy Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is by far my favorite holiday. I love this holiday because its not about gettin gifts its about all that we have already been given. Its about the family we have been given. Its about the food we can enjoy together. What makes this holiday my favorite though is that its not about not having enough or wanting more. Its about being thankful for all that we have been given. Its so easy in our wealth and culture to forget how much we actually have. This thanksgiving God has really reminded me of how much I have through the story of some dear friends that have recently adopted a child they affectionately call “Baby Adam.” Adam was born a few months ago with Bartsocas-Papas, a rare syndrome that caused a cleft palate, missing eyelids and fingers, and legs fused together. Adam was abandoned after being dropped off at a hospital in India. Our amazing friends Jessica (a nurse in India) and her husband Raja (a doctor in India) stepped in to love and care for Baby Adam. Doctors have said that Baby Adam is a “one in a million baby.” It is a miracle Adam has lived as long as he has. Now though Baby Adam needs many many surgeries to save his life. At this point the family is now in North Carolina trying to raise $100,000 to pay for surgeries for Adam. Time is of the essence for these life saving surgeries.

If you could please consider helping in any way possible BIG OR SMALL that would be a huge blessing to Baby Adam. For those of you that are christians I would encourage you that we are all called to take care of the orphan (James 1:27). That may mean adopting a kid of foster care or in this case supporting a couple that have taken in an orphan. Any help would be INCREDIBLE. Please please please consider a way to give, please be in prayer and lastly PLEASE spread the word. This thanksgiving I ask you to celebrate all you have been given by giving to some one else in need.
